Collective Healing & Empowerment with the Malcolm X Foundation
The Malcolm X Memorial Foundation is grateful to create a safe space for our community to collaborate and recalibrate. We believe that in order for us to lead and empower, we must allow room for both intellectual discourse (learning from each other) and healing too. With this in mind, we have engaged in a wellness-centered weeklong program dedicated to the Activists, Caregivers, Organizers and Community Warriors this month!
From November 18 thru 24, each day is free and family-friendly. Please see the flyers for reference below and join us.
We look forward to building and bonding with you as we prepare for what 2025 may hold!
Do You Know Who Rowena Moore Is?
It should be no secret that our organization would not exist without the diligent effort of Rowena Moore, who founded the Malcolm X Memorial Foundation in 1971. Pictured below is a special news article on her receiving the key to the city from the Omaha Mayor in 1988, just a year after the designation of our grounds as a state historic landmark.
It is because of her resilience, that we can even recognize Malcolm in the best light, right in our own backyard.
Come visit us for a tour to learn more about her impact and also find out how we are positioning ourself for future growth and expansion just like Rowena envisioned.
